Something to make you cringe

     Recently our own James Trager sent this link to us. The topic led to a very spirited and sometimes hostile thread at the site. We would be very interested in your opinions on the subject. Roy has sent in the following comment.

     I think the best thing to do with this nut-case is to ignore his publications. Unfortunately, his pathetic "descriptions" do meet the minimal requirements to validate them in ICZN terms. If it seems necessary to take cognizance of the names he generates, they should be listed at the end of a paper as "Putative but unrecognizable species". In no instance should his "species" be accorded serious consideration. Someone might wish to take it upon himself to circulate a petition to the ICZN to have his new taxa declared "unpublished".
