Rearing information needed

    "URGENT"

Hello everybody!
I'm looking very urgently for some information about ant rearing in the lab. I'm working on interactions between invasive species of ants and I just came back from Galapagos Island were I collected some colonies of the following species: Wasmannia auropunctata, Tetramorium simillimum, T. bicarinatum, Solenopsis geminata. I stocked them and transported them in small plastic boxes of camera film for 1 to 2 weeks. I brought them to the lab 3 days ago (with standardized conditions: 25-28°C and high humidity). When I released them in the rearing boxes with rearing humid nest and some sugar water they ran actively out of the transportation boxes and rushed on the sugar water. But the next morning I found a lot of dead ones. Especially for Wasmannia and Tetramorium simillimum. And I have no explication. That's why I'm asking for advise from those of you who have experience in transporting ants and rearing ants in the lab!!!!!
Thanks in advance!!!"
