     Have you come across any ants with unusual coloration, abnormal shape, behavior, or any other characteristic that would lead you to believe that the ant is not normal? Perhaps you have a sick ant. I am interested in ant diseases, with emphasis on diseases that can be manipulated for control of fire ants. In the past couple of years we have collected several ants with different diseases by looking at ants that did not fit the normal patterns of size, shape, color, or behavior. If you come across any such ant, do not toss it in the garbage. Please send to:
