A colleague of mine needs to partner with someone to test a new non poison spray to control household insects including some common pest ants. Some people, like myself, enjoy watching the ants that invade our houses, but others reach for the "Raid". The company I work (Woodstream/Safer/Havahart/Victor) for offers non-poison essential oil based sprays instead of permethrin. These essential oils really do kill insects on contact, but have little or no residual action. What we need is a
partner to recommend species, tests, analysis of the effects of new combinations of inert ingredients and oils on ants. If you know anyone who needs work or just supports alternatives to harsh chemical controls, have them contact me at.
