Specimens of Pogonomyrmex
barbatus are needed for a large-scale study on hybridization.
Areas from which we need specimens are central and eastern Texas,
Oklahoma, and Kansas. Ideally, we would like at least 10 colonies
from a site. Specimens could be stored in 95% ethanol or preferably
collected live, and shipped to us. Please contact me at atraj@imap1.asu.edu
if you might be able to provide specimens, and I can give details
relative to number of specimens per colony, shipping, etc.
