I've just finished my masters
in Ecology at National Institute for research in Amazon (INPA),
working with leaf litter ants (with emphasis on Pachycondyla
and Gnamptogenys).
I'm searching for somebody, that
work with ants behavior to help me to achieve my plans for future
work: applying the behavior of ants to solve computational problems.
I make contact with Dr. Menezes
at Florida Institute of Technology, asking
about the opportunity for me to be a contributor or even a PhD
student at
his group.
After I start do write my work
plan [as he ask me to do], and after he told
me the difficulties do make a PhD with computational science
I wonder if I
couldn't act in this field in a more efficiently manner, just
staying in
touch with ants and learn more about behavioural traits and
in a far future become a researcher in this field of stigmergy.
I am wondering if anyone is interested
in a "rookie" with a lot of curiosity and ideas about
using the ant behavior, in special those from Amazon forest
(army ants are my first option), to feed computational models.
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
