Areas of interest include ecology of desert ants, seed-harvester
ants, nest founding strategies, faunistics, ants the southwestern U.S and
northwestern Mexico (and Baja California), hybridization and caste
determination. Yes I would be willing to trade material at times.
Well as you can guess I'm working on too many projects that include - social
and genetic structure of Pogonomyrmex pima (with intermorph queens), nest
founding in Pogonomyrmex huachuacanus (apterous queens), hybridization and
caste determination in Pogonomyrmex rugosus and P. barbatus, Pleometrotic nest
founding in Pogonomyrmex californicus, Incipient speciation in Pogonomyrmex
californicus
, Latituinal gradients in colony size in seed-harvester ants.
