NEOTROPICAL
MONOMORIUM WANTED
I
am describing two new Monomorium from Brazil (one of them
strange) and I am
taking the opportunity to make one key to all Neotropical species
in the genus
(including Antichthonidris which was recently synonymized
by Heterick, and including
also Nothidris). I need workers of those species not native
but known in the
region as tramp species or recent invasions, or natives which
aret not present in
my collection:
Monomorium
carbonarium Fr. Smith
M. eveninum Forel
M. cyaneum Wheeler
M. compressum Wheeler
M. brasiliense Forel
M. subopacum Fr. Smith
M. subcoecum Emery
If
possible, send me duplicates in alcohol or if dry, well mounted.
Then I
can provide a necessary modern key for this important genus.
